FORKS HIGH SCHOOL

I closed the book, and sighed. I didn't feel like being cooped up in my room. Mom was already asleep, so I crept out the open window, and ran down the walk. I felt like I was running faster than usual. I continued running until I entered the forest, and I slowed to a walk.

Nicolette leaned against a tree, the only tree within miles that was moss-free.
"Hey babe," Her eyes appraised him. Pale, toned, his eyes a coal black that she knew too well. "Long time no see," She winked.

"Leave me alone," I said, remembering the whole 5 minute catastrophe. First, she bit my wrist. Then, my neck, after throwing me against the counter.

I pulled my arm away, and continued walking.

"Don't be like that," She said quietly. "You know you're thirsty and you don't know what to do. Nathaniel, baby, I can help."

Nicolette put a hand on his face, "Listen. You have two choices. You can either be like all other vampires in this world and drink human blood or you can feed off of animals." She leaned in, whispering quietly in his ear. Her hand slid down his neck and lingered against his chest. "Human blood is better for... us, but animal blood will do." She used her other hand to caress his hair. "I like a healthy mix of both," Her finger traced seductive patterns on his chest.

"They're both about the same," Nicolette shrugged. "Human blood feels..." She pondered, slipping one of her hands around his waist and down his back pocket, "...Better"

Nicolette readjusted her stance so that her face was less than inches from his. She tilted her head a little to the right, a coy smile spreading across her face. She raised her eyebrows slyly, "We can think of a better place to redirect that anger," She used one finger to trace down his neck and play with the collar of his shirt.
