"No way. He loves that car as much as you love your guitar." She hopped on his back again, wrapping her arms around his neck. "We're walking back."

Brayden supported her up onto his back. Headlights swerved farther up the road, and he hoped to scare her by darting across the street in front of a moving car, which barely missed hitting them by screeching to a stop.

"Oh my god, Brayden!" Kara screamed, slapping him. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She jumped off. She was laughing now. "If you were trying to scare me, it worked."

Brayden frowned, touching his cheek with the tips of his fingers. "How come every girl can slap like, extremely well. Do they sit you down in the sixth grade and demonstrate?" He realized that they were approaching Kara's house, which he'd never been inside of or around. Oh well. Maybe another time.

"Actually, every girl is born with that oh-so-handy skill." She walked up the steps to her porch, and she began to feel sad that her day with Brayden was ending -- what seemed like -- too quickly. "Well, I guess I'd better go..." She said, running her finger along the railing.

He was wandering with her, looking down at her from his freakishly tall height with a mischievous, coy smile. He tucked a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear, inclining his head to hers so that his lips were merely inches from hers. He changed the path he was on his cheek pressed against hers as he whispered in her ear, "Sleep well." While doing so, he cracked the front door open for her. Without another word, he turned and headed towards his beach house for another bothersome night.

Kara nearly fell over and her whole face turned red. "Good night, Brayden..." She walked into her small house, grabbing a glass and filling it with water from the sink. She gulped it down and skipped off to her bedroom, grinning widely.

Oh shit. Brayden realized, heading to his bedroom.

The whole pack will know by sunrise.

Kara got out of her small twin bed and looked out the window. It was very bright outside and perfect swimming weather. She changed into her bathing suit and slammed the screen door behind her. She was going to drive down to the beach, but she felt like walking today. She passed Jaocb's house and decided to go check up on him.

Brayden sat on a fallen log in front of driftwood ash, the usually hectic party scene abnormally calm in the early afternoon. The sky was unusually clear, and the sun was warm and beating down sadistically on his already warm skin. He had his guitar in his lap, fixating his fingers on the frets and strumming down twice. He adjusted his capo to the seventh fret and tried the chord again. The water was calm and gently rolled onto the of the beach. He looked down at the guitar again, changing the chord.

Gen decided to go outside to get some fresh air. The cool rainy atmosphere felt good compared to the Cullen's stuffy room where she was being held. It was surprisingly sunny when Genevieve stepped outside, the sun smiling its beaming rays down on her. She squinted, and explored around, hearing a distant strum of a guitar and followed the lovely sound.

Brayden switched the chord progression from his own composition to the familiar sound of one of his favorite songs to play on the guitar. "Bubbly" by Colbie Calliat. He mumbled the chords to himself as he played.

As Gen limped closer and closer, the chords became clearer. She recognized the tune as a recent song by Colbie Calliat. "Will you count me in? I've been awake for a while now, you've got me feeling like a child now...cause every time I see your bubbly face..." she hummed under her breath softly.

Brayden abruptly stopped playing, craning his head around to get a look at whoever had starting singing.

"Hey." Genevieve waved shyly. "Just heard you playing one of my favorite songs..." She blushed.

Brayden blinked, his gray eyes barely visible beneath his too long bangs. "Um, hey..." He furrowed his brow and appraised her, trying to figure out who this was. He wasn't sure. "I'm Brayden," He introduced, shaking his bangs away from his face so that now his eyes were evident.
