I walked along the path, kicking rocks as I stepped near them. I stayed far away from the forest. You never knew what could pop out at you...

Nicolette's throat ached with thirst, her crimson irises clouded by a black shadow that loomed over her eyes. Her senses weren't coherent and she couldn't focus on the line between right and wrong. She stumbled through the woods, not able to find anything.

I heard a sound coming from my left. I stood up, and listened again for another hint at where the thing was. It was probably another werewolf.
