I stared at the piano. It had a large hole in the middle with splinters of ivory and lightning-like stands.
"Should I leave it there or-" my reflexes had been slow ever since my eyes had opened. My ears were more efficient in picking up attacks since I never really used my eyes as a child. Everything was made in faded colors growing up. Rainy Forks looked like ink had been spilled over a rainbow and smeared off.

Gen wiped the sweat off her brow. It was extremely hot outside, and always having over a onehundred temperature didn't really help the matter. Neither did the dusty fan that hummed loudly. She closed her eyes, and hummed to her iPod.

I shivered, crouching under the red velvet bench. She was preoccupied- she wouldn't notice me or- Or the piano shoved through the ground! I gave a short gasp and squeezed my eyes shut. I could leave now... but leaving would mean... Leaving behind the piano. Leaving my past. I tried to breath silently, but each breath shuddered the ground like an active earthquake.
Opening the last key I revealed a calligraphic pen and a sheet of parchment.

Before I could manage anymore I was off in the forest, weaving through the trees. I listened for the girl, her breath and stare.

She brushed brown hair out of her eyes, and sighed. Just another boring day. Just another boring repeat of some old 'comedy' show on the Blacks' TV.

I could hear a flickering television set and feel the connecting waves as I rounded the corner and averted the werewolf's gaze. She was too busy slamming her head to the beat to notice my shuffled footsteps.

Oliver jogged through along the shore, plugging his ear buds into his ears and wiping sweat off his forehead. He saw a cute girl sitting on the sand, listening to an iPod. He decided to use this as an excuse to talk to her, and jogged over, forgetting he was all sweaty from his jog.
"Hey," He said, stopping in front of her. "Cool iPod; what kind is it?"

Gen blushed. This boy was times two cuter than Jacob. "It's that new nano video one. I tried to get one in that red color, but they didn't have it." She sighed, and tossed it between her sweaty palms.

I gasped and there it was again.
The feeding, parasatic sensation that I lived on. The reason that I was there in the first place, dreading leaving a rusted, rundown piano behind. Being here in the first place.

"It's okay." She looked down at the sand to hide her cheeks warming. "So, what's your name?" She asked, while plucking one ear plug out of her ear, and passed it to him.

I ignored the other girl completely.
"What?" I asked. "You were the ones who jumped on me for trying before. That was with him. I can't turn back now. Look, you just don't understand. I need to see your leader." I dropped my voice to a whisper. "I need to find..." my family.
